GRACE'S POV:

Mr. Bell taught me everything related to my work as I will be working under his supervision for some days to get some experience. Because being inexperienced, Dylan told Mr. Bell to oversee me for some days. 

Once I will learn the things completely, I can be a free employee here. I'm so happy right now. Even tho, I met Dylan in bad circumstances. But like everything happens for a reason. I guess this was the reason. 

I should be happy because I'm employed now. After the supervision, I will be free once again. Once, Dylan's all doubts will be cleared then he will also set me free. After that, I can go whenever I want. And the job will help me with my livings. 

I exhaled my breath and taking my steps to my destination, I can feel the confidence inside me. I'm willing to do it. I'm willing to use my opportunities. 

I can do it

I smiled and get to my work. "Ms. Bennet, These are some files you have to review before Boss checks them. Correct them if there is any mistake. The modified data has been already in your system," Mr. Bell informed me. 

"Okay, Mr. Bell," I took the files from him from turning my chair towards the face of my desk. I smiled on my own. Today, I'm feeling so positive. I'm feeling as if I got a new life. I'm feeling as if this is a new start. And I really want to use this opportunity so well. 

I won't give Mr. Knight a single reason to mock or scold me. I will do all my work devotedly and dearly. 

Okay Ms. Grace Bennet, Focus on your work.

I wished myself before turning the system on and opening the files. I deeply studied them before taking the pen to correct the mistakes as Mr. Bell said to me. This ain't even that bad and I'm really enjoying my work.

After hours of reviewing and writing, I finally finished my task putting the papers back in the file, and leaned back on the chair to stretch my arms. The work was good but boresome tiring. 

 I looked at the clock which was reading 1:00 PM of noon. "Hey pretty," I look up only to find a girl looking at me with her pearly white teeth flashing on a full display. She was looking the same as me just a little bit taller because of the pencil heals she was wearing complementing her white checked shirt and black pencil skirt with a high ponytail and overshaped glasses. 

"Umm Hi!" I replied back to her at which she smiled. "So, You're newly employed here?" 

"Yes, I joined today," 

"Oh Wow, Well, My name is Ailee, I too work here," She introduced while offering a handshake. Not to make our conversation awkward, I gladly accepted. "I'm Grace. Grace Bennet," 

"Wow, Your name is so beautiful," She said making me smile as I unconditionally looked down. "Thanks. And yours too,"

"Btw Grace, It's actually lunch break. I saw you sitting here so thought of why not asking you? Of course, you're new you'll definitely get confused," She suggested. I found her point pretty common as it was obvious. I definitely didn't have any idea about here. The times, the rules, the regulations. Not at all. 

It's kinda good that she offers me help. 

"Yeah, I would like to. thanks," I really appreciate that she put a purpose to help me when I was being all shy and introverted. 

Actually, It's kinda hard for me to open up to new places so quickly and easily

"Good, So come on, we are also running out of time. the break is only for a half-hour," She said as I closed my things quickly placing them neatly on the desk, and followed her to the cafeteria of the office. 

"Let me grab some coffee," She said as I nodded. 

She went to the counter to grab some coffee while I waited on a side corner. I saw people coming and going. The cafeteria was pretty filled. 

I guess how many people work under him

I huffed and kept waiting when she came back with a smile on her face. "here you go," She forwarded the coffee towards my direction but it unconditionally falls on my shirt. She gasped shockingly as so as I. 

"OMG! I'm sorry. I'm so sorry," 

"No..No, It's fine,"

"Are you fine? I'm so sorry, Grace," She said. 

"No, It's okay," 

I quickly grab the tissues from the counter and started wiping the stain off of my shirt. My focus was only on my shirt when some girls passed by us laughing. I looked up at them and frowned. 

They all were laughing and giggling with Ailee. She was laughing? Did she just make fun of me? 

"Oh Ailee, Look what you've done," One girl mocked laughing. 

"Gosh! You've ruined her uniform," Another taunted laughing while I can see Ailee chuckling. 

"I'm so sorry, Honey. So sorry for my prank," She said laughing. My eyes were wide in bewilderment. I looked at her in disbelief. What she thinks of herself. I never know bitches also work here. 

"YOU THINK OF IT AS A PRANK?" I yelled making the girls laugh even more. These damn bitches. I'm feeling like hitting them and pulling their hair now but I know I can't take action here. Of course, I don't want Dylan to fire me on my very first day. Do I?

"Hey Honey, Chill. I told ya it was just a prank. I did bet with my friends. That's all," She said unaffectedly making me disgusted. How could she think of demolishing someone's day as fun?

These bitches are sick.

They ruined my uniform.

"JUST GO THE HELL AWAY FROM HERE," I yelled at her as she rolled her eyes. She gestured to her friends to leave as they all left. I mentally groan stomping my foot on the floor and continued to wipe the stain. 

"Are you alright?" 

I heard someone asking. I look up only to find another girl. I frowned not paying attention. I just don't want to get involved with anyone in this place I don't want to ruin my day anymore. 

"I think, You should use the restroom. You can clean your shirt there. Please follow me," The girl suggested. Not able to find any other option, I nodded and followed her outside of the cafeteria. She guides me towards the restroom. 

"Here, you can go and clean your shirt," She pointed with a smile on her face. I nodded getting inside the bathroom and starts to wash off the stain of my shirt. It took minutes to wash and dry the stain. I went out only to see the girl still standing while leaning onto the wall. 

I frowned going out when she followed me. "Oh my god! Your stain completely vanished," She exclaimed. "Hmm," I nodded. 

"Btw, I'm so sorry for Ailee's behavior. I know she did bad but please, forgive her," She said in a remorseful tone. "It's okay, fine," 

"Actually she is my cousin and trusts me, she was not like this before. But her friend circle spoiled her o badly. I'm so sorry," She described to me as my anger slowly started to deteriorate. 

"It's okay. I'm not angry," I reassured the girl as she sighed smiling as if I gave her, her breaths back. "Btw, My name is Nicky. I also work here. And Ailee is my cousin. She's good from the heart but it's just her friends spoiled her nature, I hope you forgive her," 

"No-No it's fine and I forgave her. Please don't feel bad," I consoled her as she let out a gracious contented smile which I returned back enthusiastically. 

"ah you gave me a relief," She said placing her hands on her chest lamenting as it made me giggle. "Thanks btw, for helping me, Nicky," I appreciated her at which she attended. "My pleasure umm......"

"Grace," I informed her. 

"Grace, It's such a beautiful name," 

"Thanks,"

It's already been 5:30 and here, I am standing at the side of the road.  I called the driver after the office closed, he said that he went out of state. Since Dylan was also nowhere to be seen, I thought it would be better if I get back to the mansion by myself. 

I stomped my foot started to walk looking for a taxi so that I could reach my destination. It's been a half-hour since the office hours are closed and I'm looking for a taxi or vehicle but nothing is visible. 

I also didn't eat anything at the cafeteria since my appetite died after Ailee's worst prank. even tho I forgave her but I ended up with an empty stomach. And, I'm feeling so damn hungry right now. 

But the damn taxi making my situation worst. 

I felt like crumbling now. I kept on walking on the side when I see a car following me. Feeling uncomfortable with the gazes of the person sitting inside, I started to walking rapidly when the car stopped in front of me petrifying me to death. 

"Oh My!"

      Grace gasped placing her hands over her chest calming her breath thinking that the car might hit her. She frowned when the car stopped on her way but to her surprise, it was Dylan. 

"You?"

"Why? Do you expect someone else, sweetheart," He smirked but she scoffed at his sentence. "You scared me," She yelled making him chuckle. "I'm not a ghost to scared of," He jeered. 

"I'm mean what are you doing here? I don't think I'm that precious to earn your time and attention Mr. Knight," She chuckled making him roll his eyes. Her sassy words are something that always pisses him. 

"I'm too going back to the mansion. So I offered. Why don't you join?" He offered to make her surprise. Guessing why he offered her a drive back to the mansion but she didn't feel like receiving it. "No thanks, Mr. Knight. I can go by myself," She said making him scoff. 

"What are you waiting for? A taxi? But sweetheart, Public transports aren't allowed in my field, You forgot?" He asked making her taken aback. He chuckled seeing her face which was clueless at the moment. "I offer you to come and sit inside. Otherwise, you can spend the night on street since no one gonna take you," He suggested making her gulp. 

He waited for her to answer but it was looking as if she was in deep calculations regarding his offer which make him roll his eyes. "Okay then, I also don't have the whole damn night," He said ready to leave when she stopped him. 

"No-No-No, I'm coming with you," 

saying this, she quickly sat inside the seat next to him making him chuckle when he started the engine again. "I knew you will take my help. After all, that what I've expected since I first saw you," He jeered making her eyes wide as she angrily glared at him. 

He could sense the anger on her face. It was kinda cute when she gets angry like this. It's one of the things he liked about her the most. She is adorable. 

"Are you helping me or mocking me?" 

"Both," He chuckled making her glare in disbelief when his only focus was the road. She stomped her for again looking outside from the window making him chuckle while his blue eyes sparkled witnessing her adorableness. 

She pouted looking outside. It made her angry when he always speaks out whatever he has in his mind about her. He didn't even think that it may annoy or provoke her. 

Such a jerk he is

"You're so bad. I hate you," She murmured making him smile again. 

"I hate you too, darling," The man chuckled looking at her pouty face with adoration.
